Prerequisites:

IKO Kitesurf Level 2

Who is this course for?

The IKO Kitesurf Level 3 course is for those who have completed IKO Kitesurf Level 2 and are looking to take their riding skills up a level.  If you've mastered the water start but would like to be able to consistently ride upwind, would like to learn to turn without sinking or are looking to progress to jumping this is the course for you.

What the course covers:

• Controlling speed while riding
• Consistantly riding in both directions
• Riding crosswind and upwind
• Turning
• Re-cap of safety and rights of way theory
• Full self rescue in the water
• Self launching
• Toe side carve turn
• Jumping

The best way to cover IKO Level 3 is to come in for 1:1 tuition whereby your instructor can cover specific skills and allow you time to practice before moving on.At this level it is very individual how long each skill takes to learn, however in our experience we find that people do learn these skills a lot faster with 1:1 tuition.

What you need to bring:

• Wetsuit, wetsuit boots/old trainers to wear in the water are advised, wetsuit gloves are optional
• Towel
• Warm clothing appropriate to the weather for wearing on the beach
• Waterproofs are advised, and gloves and hat may be needed at any time of year
• Lunch and drinks, hot drinks are advised.
• Sunglasses and sunscreen can also be needed at any time of year, especially for those sensitive to the sun.
